蝌蚪网 committees provide guidance and leadership on special needs and initiatives with oversight provided by the 蝌蚪网 Executive Board. Committee activities include mentoring programs, workshops, advocacy, resources for educators, and outreach.

蝌蚪网 Program Committee
The 蝌蚪网 Program Committee is appointed by the President-elect, who oversees the organization of the 蝌蚪网 portion of the ASSA Annual Meeting. The program committee members organize one to two sessions for the annual meeting as well as evaluate the submitted sessions and individual papers for possible inclusion in the 蝌蚪网 program. The committee is comprised of individuals from many different institutions and fields of economics.

Ad Hoc Committee on the Use of Social Media in Economics

In May 2024, an ad hoc Committee on the Use of Social Media in Economics was formed. The charge was to assess and document the opportunities offered by different social media platforms to the economics profession and the problems arising therefrom. Additionally, the committee was asked to prepare a set of recommended best practices for economists, the 蝌蚪网, economics departments, and other employers of economists.
The committee invested many hours to address these concerns and goals, including a survey of the membership and one-on-one interviews. Details on the process, findings, and recommendations from the ad hoc committee are available in its report.
