The Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Applications (BIMSA) is a newly established international mathematics research institution, co-sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Government and Tsinghua University. BIMSA is initiated by world-renowned mathematician Fields Medalist Professor Shing-Tung Yau and is dedicated to advancing research in mathematics, theoretical physics, computer science, as well as economics. Its goal is to promote inter-disciplinary collaboration and to bridge the gap between fundamental research and real-world applications.

BIMSA has openings for appointments at the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant/Associate Professor. BIMSA invites applications from outstanding candidates with research interests in the fields of Mathematical and Quantitative Methods, Economic Growth, Contract and Information Economics, Industrial Organization, Labor Economics, and Financial Economics.

BIMSA offers internationally competitive salaries, along with generous benefits that include housing and health insurance. BIMSA faculties are supported by generous grants.

For faculty, duties include teaching (one course per semester) and service. Associate Professors are also expected to mentor PhD students and postdocs.

Postdoctoral positions are also affiliated with the Yau Mathematical Sciences Center at Tsinghua University and are for a duration of two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension upon successful evaluation.
