Full Text of JOE Listing:

Under the broad direction of the Governing Board, the thought leadership of the President, the guidance of the Chief Economist and other senior management officials, and with reporting to the Director of Energy Policy / Head of the Asia Zero Emission Centre, this position is expected to play a leading role in the effective management and delivery of high-quality research projects.

â– Key Responsibilities:
1.Undertake high-quality, policy-oriented analysis, prepare policy recommendations, and contribute to the formulation of guidelines related to transition finance and/or carbon markets in ASEAN and East Asia.
2.Manage policy-oriented research projects in the above areas and other related topics.
3.Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, confidently engaging with diverse audiences and representing ERIA at international conferences, meetings, and symposiums as required.
4.Provide strategic advice at regional, national, and local levels, and remain informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the field.
5.Engage with key stakeholders (governments, industries, academia, and other international and non-governmental organisations) through knowledge management, policy guidance, technical assistance, and capacity building.
6.Perform other related duties as assigned by the President and/or other senior management officials.

â– Q³Ü²¹±ô¾±´Ú¾±³¦²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²õ:
1.An advanced degree, preferably a PhD, in energy policy/economics, economics, development, public policy, or a related field.
2.Strong analytical and research skills, with experience in energy and economic policy—particularly in transition finance and/or carbon markets within ASEAN and East Asia.
3.Excellent writing skills, with a proven track record of producing high-quality publications.
4.Extensive experience in handling data sources.
5.Ability to effectively present key results to public audiences.
6.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural team. Experience in communicating with government officials in Asian countries and familiarity with regional working cultures are preferred.

â– L²¹²Ô²µ³Ü²¹²µ±ð:
1.Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English.
2.Proficiency in East Asian languages would be an asset.

â– Working Conditions and Terms of Employment:
1. Term: The appointment is for a fixed term of one or two years, with the possibility of renewal for up to five years in total upon reappointment by the President, depending on performance and the continuation of the budget.
