The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) is seeking candidates to be employed as Economists. Candidates must demonstrate the potential to contribute substantially to research and policy analysis of interest to the Central Bank. The successful candidates will be expected to carry out both directed and independent policy-relevant research, and contribute to the formal policy-making process. Strong presentation skills are required along with excellent analytical, quantitative, and written skills.
As well as actively contributing to policy making process by presenting their research to the policymakers, economists at the Central Bank are encouraged to present their work at local and international conferences and to publish in academic journals. We provide a generous research and travel support as well as access to ever-growing extensive economic and financial data. We have an active and stimulating research environment. We regularly host seminar programs and conferences which bring together experts from leading research institutions and universities.
Candidates must be Turkish citizens and fulfill all eligibility requirements stated by the CBRT’s employment regulations, except the age requirement. Applicants are expected to hold a doctoral degree by the end of 2026.The position offers a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package.
