The Position:

The Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking candidates for an Open-Rank Tenure-Track position in Information Systems starting in Fall 2026. We are interested in research and teaching in the following areas: 1) Digital Economics and AI, 2) Managerial and Societal implications of Technologies, 3) Digital Privacy/ Information Security.

Heinz College:

The Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University is home to two top-ranked schools: the School of Information Systems and Management and the School of Public Policy and Management. The College is a center of excellence for research on issues that span people, policy, business, and technology. Carnegie Mellon University’s Block Center for Technology and Society, housed at Heinz College, is dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of the societal consequences of technological change.

Qualifications:

Holds a Ph.D. in IS, Economics, Marketing, or CS.
Strong research skills and focus on publishing in leading academic journals
Commitment to high-quality education.
