The òòò½Íø is pleased to announce the results from the 2023 Election of Officers for 2024: Lawrence Katz (president-elect), Nicholas Bloom and Ebonya Washington (vice-presidents), Amanda Kowalski and Lara Shore-Sheppard (members). For more information, visit /about-aea/leadership/election-winners.

Register now for the 2024 ASSA Meeting. Registration is open for the annual meeting, which will take place January 5–7, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Take advantage of lower rates by registering before December 4, 2023, when rates increase. Registration requirements and general information are available on the òòò½Íø website at /conference.

The òòò½Íø's 2024 Continuing Education Program will be held on January 7–9, 2024, at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio in San Antonio, Texas. Participants can choose from three concurrent programs. Topics include Development Economics led by Emily Breza of Harvard University and Supreet Kaur of the University of California, Berkeley; Digital Economics and the Economics of Artificial Intelligence led by Martin Beraja of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Chiara Farronato of Harvard University, Avi Goldfarb of the University of Toronto, and Catherine Tucker of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and Health Economics led by Ben Handel of the University of California, Berkeley, and Matthew Notowidigdo of the University of Chicago. The first round of Job Market Interviews will occur online for 2024. We hope that you will continue to take advantage of the JOE Network for your candidate profiles, job listings, and letter writing, as well as the application module that includes a tool for scheduling interviews. The òòò½Íø will continue to provide Signaling and the Job Market Scramble. The òòò½Íø Committee on the Job Market offers periodic updates on conditions in the job market and has issued guidance and a timeline for the 2023–24 economics job cycle. 2023–24 Minority Job Market Candidates. The Committee on the Status of Minority Groups in the Economics Profession (CSMGEP) maintains a web page listing of 2023–24 minority job market candidates as a resource for employers. If you identify as American Indian, Alaskan Native, Black (not of Hispanic origin), Hispanic (including persons of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Central or South American origin), or Pacific Islander and would like to be added to this list, please email Dr. Gary A.
