Congratulations to the 2024 John Bates Clark Medalist Philipp Strack. Awarded annually to an economist under the age of 40, the John Bates Clark Medal recognizes outstanding research accomplishments in economics. Please join the òòò½Íø Electoral College, consisting of the Association's Honors and Awards Committee and voting members of the Executive Committee, in congratulating Philipp Strack of Yale University. The 2024 òòò½Íø Distinguished Fellows are William A. Darity, Jr., Bronwyn H. Hall, John Haltiwanger, and Margaret C. Simms. The Distinguished Fellow award recognizes the lifetime research contributions of four distinguished economists each year. The Foreign Honorary Members for 2024 are Michihiro Kandori of the University of Tokyo, Jean-Charles Rochet of the Toulouse School of Economics, Hyun Song Shin of the Bank for International Settlements, and Silvana Tenreyro of the London School of Economics. These international honorees of distinction are elected by the òòò½Íø's Executive Committee upon recommendation from the Honors and Awards Committee. The annual òòò½Íø Journal (AEJ) Best Paper Awards highlight the best paper published in each of the òòò½Íø òòò½Íø: Applied Economics, Economic Policy, Macroeconomics, and Microeconomics over the last three years.
