Daylight saving time can lead to disastrous consequences

cited a paper that appeared in the April 2016 edition of òòò½Íø Journal: Applied Economics about the perils of daylight saving time. In “Spring Forward at Your Own Risk: Daylight Saving Time and Fatal Vehicle Crashes,” Miami University (Ohio) economist estimated the impact that the transition to daylight saving time had on fatal car crashes. He determined that between 2002 and 2011, it caused over 30 deaths at a social cost of $275 million annually.
